WooCommerce Installation Guide

Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Protectly plugin on your WooCommerce store.

Prerequisites

Before installing Protectly, ensure you have:

  • A WordPress site with the WooCommerce plugin installed and activated
  • Admin access to your WordPress site
  • A Protectly merchant account (you will create one during setup)

 

1.Installation and activation of the plugin

  • Make sure your account allows to manage plugins
  • Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard
  • Make sure you have access to your WordPress site’s admin panel.
  • Make sure your WordPress version is updated to the latest version.
  • Open your web browser and go to your WordPress website’s admin page (usually <yourwebsite.com>/wp-admin).
  • Look on the left-hand side of the dashboard for the “Plugins” menu and find “Protectly” plugin 
  • Install the plugin 
  • Click on Activate
  • Click on the connect button at the top of the page

2. Onboarding

  • Open onboarding email at store’s email address
  • Follow the magic link to continue onboarding (Click on “Access Protectly Portal”)
  • Fill out the necessary store information on each page to ensure successful onboarding

 

3.Checking activation

After successful onboarding, the plugin will be activated. This can be understood from the message that appears.

 

“Deactivate” button appears under the plugin name.

 

Also the plugin can be found in the Active tab.

 

 

4. Configure Plugin Settings 

To configure the settings, go to the plugin Settings menu. The following settings are available to the user:

  • General
  • Products
  • Tax(in case taxes are not included in the product price)
  • Shipping(set up shipping costs depending on the region)
  • Payments
  • Accounts & Privacy
  • Emails
  • Integration
  • Site visibility
  • Advanced

 

5. Plugin+Dashboard

All data on the dashboard is dynamically updated based on the selected date filter (last day, last week, last 30 days, all time).

The Protectly plugin is currently available only in the USA region. An error appears when an incorrect region is selected:

 

6. Troubleshooting

1)The Protectly plugin is currently available only in the USA region. An error appears when an incorrect region is selected:

  • Solution: In the Settings menu, set USA region.

 

2)Protectly only supports US dollars. All payments can only be made in this currency. An error appears when an incorrect currency is selected:

  • Solution: In the Settings menu, select the currency equal to US dollars

3) Plugin is not available when Permalink structure=Plain

  • Solution: Select any value other than Plain
